At Hotel du Vin, we are actively enhancing our sustainability efforts to make a positive impact on the UK hospitality industry and the world around us. Across our 19 distinctive properties, we are focused on reducing our environmental footprint and supporting the communities around us, with our sustainability strategy guiding our approach to climate change. Our people are committed to finding innovative solutions to reduce our impact, and whilst our goal is to achieve a 47% reduction by 2030 and become Net Zero by 2050, we are proud of our accomplishments to date.
We have achieved a 56% reduction in CO₂ emissions in our hotels since 2019 and are investing £7 million to further support our commitment to reduce energy and carbon emissions. We have also been purchasing 100% renewable electricity since 2021 and in 2024, we introduced a supplier engagement programme to measure and reduce our emissions, in line with the World Resources Institute Scope 3 guidelines.
We are justifiably proud of our collection of townhouse and city-centre properties, each with its own character shaped by the architecture, history, and sensitive conversion of the original building. We strive to uphold their integrity whilst prioritising responsible decisions, as part of our sustainability strategy, and these initiatives are a testament to our steadfast dedication to creating a bright future for our guests, our communities, and our planet.
